Health insurance and the US Census can be rather boring topics to say the least, but the people over at Mibazaar.com have found a way to put the two together. With help of Google Maps, they’ve done the impossible and made the uninteresting, interesting!
What they have done is taken the 2008 US Census information from each state about how many people lack health insurance and plotted it on Google Maps, ranking them in order from most uninsured (Texas) to most insured (Massachusetts).
One notable fact is that while California ranks 7th on the list with over 6.7 million people without health insurance, it has more uninsured people than Arizona, New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida COMBINED. The only other state with a comparable volume of uninsured people is Texas at 5.7 million.
Yes, health insurance can be boring, but we all know that if we’re ever met with a medical issue, health insurance can ease the pain of sky-high medical bills. Call or stop by our office and find out what available plans may work best for you.
